Choose a Local Removalist – You want to first start with a local Removalist who knows the in’s and out’s of your local area. This is especially helpful when multiple loads are required and you will certainly receive the best pricing as compared to moving companies that are out of the area.
Does your removalist offer insurance for your belongings? If something gets damaged during transit, will they pay for the replacement? If not, you may want to consider another company.
How much experience does your potential removalist have? Ask them about their previous clients and how many moves they have completed in the last 12 months. This information will help you decide if they are reliable enough to handle your move as well as answer any other questions you may have regarding their experience level.
Do they provide packing materials such as bubble wrap, tape etc.? You may want to bring some boxes or other reusable packing material in case they don’t offer anything extra like this, but it’s always good to ask first so there are no surprises on moving day!
Do they offer storage options? You may want to store some of your belongings while waiting for your new place to be ready – ask if they can help with this too!
