Don't pay to move a pile you never wanted
Every move uncovers a pile you'd forgotten about. Here's how to get rid of it without paying to move it twice.
The most expensive thing you can do on moving day is pay a crew to carry something to the truck, drive it across Sydney, and carry it into a new house so it can sit in the garage until you throw it out anyway. Sort the junk first, then move.
Work room by room with three piles: keep, donate, dump. The garage and the linen cupboard are always worse than you think, so start there while you still have energy. Book your council collection the day you finish the first room β the free slots go fast at the end of the month.
Paint tins, fuel, gas bottles, batteries, chemicals, e-waste and anything containing asbestos need specialist disposal. Every Sydney council runs chemical and e-waste drop off days β a five-minute search will find the next one near you. Don't hide it in a box and hope; it's illegal and it's a genuine risk to the crew.
If you're renting, rubbish left behind comes out of your bond, usually at a rate you'd never agree to. Clear it, sweep it, photograph it. We can bring the pile with us on the day so the property is empty when the agent walks through.
Want us to handle it? Mention rubbish when you ask for your quote and we'll price the space in from the start β call 1300 142 974 or send us the details.

Moving and decluttering at once?
Tell us what's going and what's staying. We'll quote the move and the rubbish together so there are no surprises on the day.
Yes. Tell us before the day and we'll allow room on the truck for the pile you don't want. We charge for the space and the tip fee, so it's usually cheaper than a skip for smaller loads.
Paint, fuel, gas bottles, chemicals, asbestos and anything that needs specialist disposal. Councils run drop-off days for most of it β we'll point you to the right one.
A skip wins for a full renovation clear-out. For a couple of old mattresses, a broken wardrobe and ten bags of junk, adding it to your move is cheaper and there's no permit to arrange.
Where it's genuinely usable and a nearby op shop will accept it, we'll happily drop it off on the way. Charities won't take stained mattresses or broken flat-pack, so be realistic about condition.
Send us your details and we'll call you back with a fixed price β
usually the same day.
